The Public Relations and Media Unit is one of the important administrative units in any administrative system or official establishment, due to its connection to all internal and external departments. It is the university’s window to society, the link between the university and its internal audience of workers and students, and a tool for achieving strong and distinguished relations between the university administration and the external public of institutions and various segments of society. The importance of the role of the administration stems from the fact that it aims to create a positive impression, and to enhance the good mental image and good reputation of the university through the functions and tasks entrusted to it, to highlight the civilized image of the university, its employees, its achievements, and its future projects with the various parties that deal with it and gain their trust and respect, strengthening relations Between the administrative units of the university and its academic departments, taking care of social communication between them, and supervising the organization of conferences, seminars, scientific forums and events.

Mission

The Public Relations and Media Unit seeks to be the window of the administration on society, and a link between the Public Relations and Media Unit and its internal audience on the one hand, and the various public and private sectors on the other hand, and to consolidate the positive impression of the administration and its lofty mission, and to form mental images that are in line with the goals and scientific and educational status for loneliness.


Objectives

• Showing a positive image, commensurate with the university’s status among universities.
• Providing approved media and news materials related to the university in preparation for its confirmation and publication
• Publishing university news and drafting it in a media format.
• Follow-up of all that is published about the university in the media.
• Designing the contents of the visual productions of the university to meet the demands of the administrative units and academic departments at the university.
• Leadership in conferences and seminars through the organization and preparation of media publications and advertising and promotional campaigns into a distinguished professional system for the success of all events.
• Providing the university with a quarterly report on relations with partner academic institutions.

Director of the Public Relations and Media Unit

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Supervising the management of the unit’s affairs and activities and its employees, and setting procedures for the unit’s work to ensure the proper functioning of its work.
2. Work to show the civilized face of the university and its role in serving the local, regional and international communities.
3. Organizing contact with local scientific institutions and strengthening relations with them.
4. Daily news monitoring through what is issued by the various media outlets about the university and other universities.
5. Participate in following up on the university’s website and providing it with news in a timely manner.
6. Closer relations with external parties and local community institutions.
7. Carry out any other work assigned to him by the university presidency or the management of the information technology center.


Media officer

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Following up and covering various activities and events related to the university.
2. Preparing reports and press interviews held and supervised by the university.
3. Editing the news received from the various faculties and units of the university.
4. Providing news agencies, daily newspapers and websites with all news about the university’s activities and effectiveness.
5. Following up on university news published in newspapers and websites.
6. Follow-up of university news received from all news agencies.
7. Carry out any other work assigned to him by the university presidency or the management of the information technology center.


Translator

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Translating official books and publications received or issued by the university from Arabic into English and vice versa, as well as what appears on the university’s website.
2. Summarizing documents and reports of the university written in foreign languages and translating them into Arabic.
3. Interpretation of conversations between university officials and their guests when needed.
4. Carry out any other work assigned to him by the university presidency or the management of the information technology center.


Public Relations Officer

Roles and responsibilities:
1. Participate in the preparation and implementation of programs for university activities and events.
2. Participate in collecting media information related to the university.
3. Broadcasting news of university activities to news agencies, daily newspapers and websites.
4. Participate in preparing for the activities and events organized by the university.
5. Carry out any other work assigned to him by his president, the university presidency, or the management of the information technology center.
